Thanks for the sweet words, BlogFerret. Yes, this year is full of "bigger things" to worry about than wish lists and calculating travel with a google map. Unfortunately, there is not an "App" for what my family is going through. There are only five of us, so the idea that we are close to losing one is pretty devastating. So, I give a big Hasa Diga Eebowai to Jingle Bells and Silent Night. I'm headed out to buy a Lottery ticket. Money can't fix what we have going on, but it sure can help!

Unfortunately, the advertisers aren't aiming at the 'average person' who is struggling in this economy just to keep themselves fed and housed. They're aiming for the ones who are going to spend either money or credit in order to keep up with whoever they're trying to keep up with, either neighbors, family, or friends and have the most toys. What's making me nauseous this year is the fact that WalMart is open ALL FUCKING DAY on Thanksgiving Day. Corporate greed is driving it, and I think that the assholes who will shop late in the day (beyond the "oops, I forgot to get stuffing mix & have to grab some quick"), and into the night are selfish morons, who think it's more important that their precious additional shopping day is ever so much more important than allowing those employees, who, likely will not have a single day off for the next 32 days after that, to spend a day with their families are utter and complete jerks.

Maybe we've been on the internet so long we've become the old timers of the 'net. Next thing we know we'll be posting for the kids to get of our lawns.
